msmtp

Description

msmtp is a very simple and easy to use SMTP client. It plays nicely with mutt so is helpful if you are one of the (few) people who likes a highly customised email environment.

User instructions

msmtp is installed on all workstations from the Debian repositories.

Documentation is available on the msmtp website. The msmtp article on the Arch Linux wiki is also very useful.
