Admin notes¶
A pre-compiled tarball can be downloaded from https://github.com/atom/atom/releases and unpacked into the modules hierarchy in a pkg directory. In a bin directory, the following script called atom
was placed:
#!/bin/bash
$(dirname $0)/../pkg/atom $@
There is an additional potential issue with using atom in an x2go remote desktop session. To work around this, I placed a copy of libxcb.so.1
in the pkg directory, and modified it with sed -i 's/BIG-REQUESTS/_IG-REQUESTS/' libxcb.so.1
.
